We wish to welcome the James Madison University Equestrian Club to the farm as well as their new coach Heidi Rinker and Head Coach Bobby Jones.
JMU Head Coach
Bobby Jones has been a professional horseman for over 35 years. He
owns
and
operates Seventh Heaven Farm where he breaks and trains race horses and
shows hunters and stands a section A Welsh pony stallion. Bobby has
trained
and shown hunters and jumpers at the A shows since he was 13 years old.
He
has successfully raised and shown horses in the International Hunter
Futurity for
8 years. Bobby's horses and students have won and retired numerous series
trophies. He instructed the JMU riding team in the late 70's and is very
excited
to be working with the JMU riding program again."
JMU Assistant Coach/Brilee Farm Coach
Heidi Rinker is a graduate of Virgina Intermont College where she
competed in
IHSA and majored in Horsemanship and minored in Animal Technology.
Heidi's
horse experience includes working as a trainer and riding coach at various
barns; directing the 2002 Camp Ton-A-Wanda Riding Summer Program; riding
race horses for Camden Training Track; and working with several top
trainers
including Tom Brennon, Tony Workman, and Olympian Joe Fargis. She is very
excited to be working with JMU and Brilee Farm.
We are also pleased to announce that Debbie Bahr is doing all Beginner lessons both English and Western and has recently completed her CHA certification.
